My Platform: Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Suicide is not an easy subject. It's often a subject people don't like to discuss. The truth of the matter is that if you want to save the life of a loved one or friend you MUST be aware of the warning signs. The 2010 statistics state that suicide rate for 15-24 years of age is on the rise. I have heard of one too many attemps in our schools and with our youth. I want them to know they have peope who care about them and although the problems seem magnified and unbareable those problems can be worked through and helped. Suicide is never the answer!
One year ago, my step-brothers lost their father Jeremy Stamper, age 36, to suicide. I have witnessed the effects it has on my brothers, my Step-Mom, my Dad, family, and friends. I have watched them fight through their loss, the unanswered questions (the WHY), and the realization and magnitude of what he did and that he is never coming back. My family is the most courageous and GOD loving people I know.
I can do all this through CHRIST, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Today, March 30th, 2014, I had the opportunity to interact with Belk's talented fashion show models at KidFest. This event created a fun-filled afternoon for kids of all ages to show their new, Belk inspired, trendy spring looks. Belk also provided free dental products, sponsored by Oceans Dental, crafty coloring area, spunky painted nails, red firetruck madness, and a chance to meet my sweet Little Miss and I. We signed autographs and interacted with our fans. Thank you Belk and the Hot Springs Fire Department!
Teacups & Tiaras was a special event my sister queen,Mary Lacey, and I held at the fabulous Gibson home on Lake Hamiliton. Every princess received a tiara, an opportunity to interact with live Easter animals, special crafts, and much more! We all had such a wonderful time. Each princess created a sparkling picture frame, and Easter cards! Pictures were taken and the princesses were able to take home their pictures as a gift from Mary Lacey and I. After this lovely event, we took the already amazingly decorated Easter cards to Lake Hamilitons's Health and Rehibilitation Center. Getting to meet the most generous Senior Citizens of Arkansas was more than what I had expected. They were so thankful that we had visited them, and many wished me great luck this summer! They gave me definite boost of confidence, along with a "Happy Easter to you too Mrs. Queen!"
MAOT 2014
I couldnt have been more honored to receive the Non-Finalist Talent Award, You've Got the Look Photogenic Award, and the Spirit of Arkansas Award. The experience all together was priceless and I'm so thankful I was apart of it. I gained many best friends that have the kindest hearts and the same love for the MAOT system as I do. It's safe to say that my Alpha year was pretty successful, and I will continue to compete in next season's preliminary competitions.
This was a part of the Arrival Ceremonies. I had the opportunity to ride in an antique car made in 1924, and restored in 1976!
